Together, we’re building a place to...

Rest & Pray

Because weary hearts need a place to rest.

We live in a time of deep spiritual exhaustion. Prayer is reactive instead of relational. Silence feels impossible. Rest feels out of reach.

Our world is full of noise, pressure, and constant urgency. But throughout history, God has used “set-apart places” to restore His people, speak to weary hearts, and draw them back into His presence. Today, spaces like that are rare, especially ones offered freely and rooted in prayer.

By building a quiet refuge in the mountains—free to stay, anchored in Scripture and prayer—we’re creating a place where lives can be renewed, healing can begin.

This is why Mishkan Springs matters: because weary hearts need a place to rest, and God meets His people in the stillness.

“We feel called to build a simple, beautiful, and restful place for prayer.”

- Caleb & Kristina

Read Our Story

Founded on generosity.

For generations, Christians have sought out “thin places”—quiet refuges where the presence of God feels close and the soul can finally breathe. We are standing in a long, rich tradition shaped by places like Ffald y Brenin in Wales and the Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky. These communities have spent decades cultivating prayer, hospitality, simplicity, and beauty, welcoming guests without charge and trusting God to provide through generosity alone.

Their longevity is part of their testimony. People have been renewed, healed, and called into deeper life with God on their grounds year after year, decade after decade. Their faithfulness shows that retreats built on prayer, openness, and generosity don’t just work—they endure. Mishkan Springs is shaped by this same vision. We are not inventing something new; we are participating in something proven, rooted, and time-tested: the creation of sacred places where God meets His people in the stillness.
